Nutella Blondies With a Swirl

These super chewy Nutella blondies have a Nutella swirl and are one of my favorite desserts year-round. I like mine a little bit underbaked.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 113 grams unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup 213 gramspacked brown sugar
  • 1 eggs + 1 egg yolk room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup 120 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup Nutella

Instructions

  • Line an 8X8 square pan with parchment paper leaving extra on the sides as a sling so you can lift the bars up after cooking. Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, egg + egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix with a non-stick spatula until thoroughly combined.
  • In a separate medium bowl, add all dry ingredients and mix. Add to wet ingredients and mix until batter forms.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan. Smooth out the batter until it reaches all sides.
  • Dollop Nutella in tablespoon-sized balls on top of pour batter. Using a knife, drag the tip through the dollops of Nutella creating a swirl pattern.
  • Bake blondies until the edges are set and the middle is firm about 25 minutes. Depending on your oven this may take up to 35 minutes.
  • Remove bars from oven and let cool for at least 20 minutes. Cut and enjoy!
